I was backing up a 135M file using the new DOS IPX client to the OS/2 server.
It ran for quite a while - last time I checked it had xfered 60M. Then it
died with a red dialog box.

Here is the DSMERROR.LOG from the client:

4/06/1994 22:46:27 commntli(0648): NtliFlush: Error 6 sending data using t_snd
4/06/1994 22:46:27 session.(1425): sessSendVerb: Error sending Verb, rc=-155
4/06/1994 22:46:27 commntli(0648): NtliFlush: Error 6 sending data using t_snd
4/06/1994 22:46:27 commntli(0648): NtliFlush: Error 4 sending data using t_snd
4/06/1994 22:46:27 session.(1425): sessSendVerb: Error sending Verb, rc=-155
4/06/1994 22:46:28 ANS1720E Backup failed
4/06/1994 22:46:28 Unexpected LAN condition occurred.

Here is what I saw on the OS/2 server:

ANR0444W Protocol error on session 39 - out-of-sequence verb (type XIBackSort)
ANR0484W Session 39 terminated - Protocol violation detected.

Is there any way to treat this disease?

Another funky thing about this backup session was that, because the file
was bigger than the max size file size allowed for the BACKUPPOOL storage
pool, and was directed straight to tape, I got a white dialog box saying:

 Waiting for mount of
  of off-line media.

(BTW, note the doubling of the word "of") this dialog never cleared from the
screen, but judging from Q SESSION on the server, data was still being xfered.
Could it be that my DOS client truly was still waiting for a response that
the tape had been mounted, and when the backup finally finished the protocol
was just out of step?
