We're just installing ADSM, so I have a hundred questions. I'll start
(hopefully) simply. :-)

(1) How can you use the 3490 autoloader?

(2) The devclass has the amount of time the ADSM server will wait for a
drive/cartridge to be mounted. But the message annoys the operator
once a minute. Is this minute adjustable somehow?

(3) Introductory "Administrator's Guide" info would be easier to
understand if it was more clear that storage pools and device
classes are independent of domains, policies etc (one storage class
can serve more than one policy domain).

(4) The "keep only n backups" of a file doesn't seem to fit with "point
in time" restores of filespaces or directories. How might I ensure
that I can restore a directory as it existed a week, month, or year
ago without keeping 7, 31, or 365 as the number of backup copies?
Even if I do this, can I restore a directory to a "point in time"?

(5) The SES/E COR tape that came with the product has a component name
that ends with an "S", whereas the initial install component name
does not. Is it obvious what dumb thing I'm doing while trying to
    load the service?

Thanks for any info you might provide,
