I'm sure I know the answer, but I will ask anyway. I have a NW 7.6.2.1 client (it's Win 2003) that I need to do a full system recovery (i.e., a DR level recovery) on. And my NW server is 8.0.1. This

Michael, Sure, the restore should work fine, but I am not sure I understand your question. Why not just do the restore? Then you will know if it succeeds or not. Or am I missing something? Please rep

Michael, I believe the reference that you are talking about is that 8.x clients can not do a directed restore to a 7.x client. Backups created for a NetWorker 8.0 or higher client cannot be recovered

Yes, I think that's it. That's a bit confusing, too - so the backup was created from a client running 8.x client software, but the recovery is to a client running 7.x? Or does it mean that I can onl

The way I read this, is that prior to 8.0, if you had a 7.6 client, you could do a directed recovery to a lower 7.6 client (say a 7.6.3 to a 7.6.2), or possibly even a 7.5 or a 7.2 or 7.3. We've done

Kind of a dumb question, or rather looking for confirmation here, but do save sets get backed up in the order that they're listed in the NSR client resource? I'm assuming that you've enumerated them

I never really paid attention to it. However, IMHO i think there is no fixed sequence. Even if you do not use All, NW will build the worklist by running savefs in the pre-backup phase. Then the save
