Migrating the loaded mib database, at least for the SNMPv1 datbases, appears to work just fine.
You will still want to copy over any actual MIB files (from /usr/OV/snmp_mibs) that did not come with Netview.
Here's a way to identify what you have loaded:

SNMPv1 MIBs loaded for Server:
grep  "^\-\- START" /usr/OV/conf/snmpmib

SNMPv2 MIBs loaded for Server
grep  "^\-\- START" /usr/OV/conf/snmpv2mib

SNMPv1 and SNMPv2 MIBs loaded for Java Client
cat /usr/OV/www/mibs/mibserver.def
