Hi all,

 

I have several routers in my environment that are using its Serial 0 interface as backup line for a Frame-Relay link connected to its other interface (Serial 1.1 mostly). For some of these routers, NetView gives the S0 interface a USER1 status (pink), thus showing the router object as UP (green) in the map, even the OperStatus being DOWN, as it should be.

 

Conversely, for other routers, the Serial 0 interface status is DOWN (red), and the router icon is MARGINAL (yellow) because of it.

 

There are no differences whatsoever between these routers that I can tell............how can I make NetView see all S0 interfaces status from these routers s USER1 ??
