I don;t want to use a wild card (*)
then it will start collecting on all interfaces, i want to select specific
interfaces just to check threshold levels !

Hi,

How can we collect data from multiple interfaces/instances using a single
snmpCollect collector, it only allows one instance per collector, like
to check in & out traffic on a specific link i have to create two different
collectors for that. Cant i create a single collector and add multiple
instances/interfaces of a router!

Usman,
What do you mean by collector?
You can set up collection on all instances of a MIB variable by using the
wild card character in the Instance field. That will get all interfaces
on the selected nodes. However, there are separate MIB variables
defined for input and output octets, so the NMS issues a Get on two MIB
variables. You can combine them into a single MIB _expression_, but
it still requires SNMP Gets on different variables.
