Just a quick answer.  NO.
The base NetView product Version 7.1.4 does not support SNMPv3 at all.  The
have that you must purchase the add-on SNMP Security Pack package from
IBM's partner SNMP Research.  See
http://www.snmp.com/products/snmpsecpack.html

SNMPv2 is supported for traps (when the Windows version is properly
configured --See the Release Notes) and for MIB loading and browsing, but
not for discovery nor data collection by snmpCollect.

Hello everybody,

Just a quick question !!!!!

Is SNMP Version III is fully supported by NetView 7.1.4 on windows 2003?

Besides, I have to request network administrator configure SNMP on all the
routers and switches solely for netview. Any best practice for the same?
