RedHat Enterprise 4.0. is not  supported nor even tested yet.  The Release
Notes at each maintenance level spell out in great detail what platforms
are supported.

You can install NetView on RedHat 3.0, but you must download
the latest refresh CD for 7.1.4 Fixpack02 that includes support
for this version of RedHat. It should be available via your passport
advantage downloads...
