The NetView GUI is customizable and there is a lot of information about doing that in the Programmer's Guide.

The specific items you want to modify are located in /usr/OV/registration/C/ovhpux/NNM-HPUX.rsam.
Make changes to that file and restart the GUI.

DO NOT make a backup copy of that file in /usr/OV/registration or the backup will be assumed to be another new registration file and ovw will try to process them both, with unpredictable results, where they conflict. The directory /usr/OV/registration.backup already has duplicate copies of the files, so if you mess one up, you can get it back from there.

[nv-l] Updating Gui items on the map

Hi all

I am running Netview on AIX ver 7.1.2
At present the operators select a router off the map, right click, select administer, select telnet xterm and they can get into the router. However now due to security precautions telent has been switched off and they have to ssh to the router, and they want to do this from the map like they are used to. Can it be done? And how do I set it up?

Waiting in anticipation.

Thanks
Vynita
