You can automate on node deleted traps. NetView generates node added and node deleted. I am working on something similar that checks to see if a node delete trap is for something in the seed file.

First off, thanks James for your help with SNMP v2 thread.

 

Here is an interesting one: is there a way to initiate a notification when a device (router or switch to be specific) ages out of Netview database due to no response? Maybe an internal Netview trap that can be generated? Thanks.
