Forgot to include the traps from trapd.log:

1077834855 7  Thu Feb 26 17:34:15 2004 bi-wcr2-n5ee2.ss.gov N Interface ATM4/0/0.435-aal5 Added

1077835234 3  Thu Feb 26 17:40:34 2004 bi-wcr2-n5ee2.ss.gov N Interface ATM4/0/0.435-aal5 down.

When does Netview generate the Interface Added trap? Is it after the configuration poll tells Netview that a new interface is detected, or something else causes this?

Thanks.

The router people claim that the (Added) traps for a router sub-interface showing up in their event window (see below) are incorrect as this sub-interface has been consistently down for past several days, and there are no entries in router log files for such addition.

There are several of these traps for several sub-interfaces.

These are Netview generated traps (SPECIFIC: 58785792, GENERIC 6 - ENTERPRISE netview6000). Any reason why Netview would detect these down interfaces as Added? Thanks.

Cheers
