You need to look at the NetView ruleset editor. I put an append on the forum recently about an old Redbook which gave lots of examples - check the archive at http://lists.skills-1st.co.uk/mharc/html/nv-l/

Cheers,

In what direction should I go to learn how to correlate events on the NetView server vs. doing so in TEC. I'd certainly prefer to keep TEC as clean as possible....I wasn't aware of any ability to do correlation at the NetView level.

We use TEC for alerts but we first correlate the events on the
NetView server then forward to TEC for additional correlation.

    Hi List,

I was trying to get a feel from how many out there use Netview by
itself for alerting and event correlation or if they use TEC?
