NetView security on/off should have no effect whatsoever on the web console security. The files that actually get configured by the Web Security application are in /usr/OV/www/conf - look at the .properties files - NetViewRealm.properties should have your users defined, including their encoded password, role and scope.

Cheers,
Jane

Thanks Jane,
Yes I did reinstall the Web Console, but the problem I am having is more to the webserver accepting the new changes ... After I created a new user or modified a user's role, then select to restart the webserver. when trying to login with the new user id, I get the message saying that The new user is not recognized .... or in a case of a new role for an existing user, I noticed that the new role is not applied. Q1: Any Idea? Q2: Is there a file somewhere where I can manually modify a user's roles or add a new Web Console User? Q3: is this happening because the Server Security is OFF? Even if the server security was off before applying the FixPack2 and I was able to add/modify user/role?

Have you reinstalled the Web Console java program since you applied
FixPack 1? I think you will find that the README with the Fixpack
    says
that you have to redistribute your java application.

    Cheers,
    Jane
