Try using the -m parameter to loadhosts

I use a script containing several loadhosts with different subnet masks
something like

loadhosts -a -p -m 255.255.252.0 <<EOF
10.14.1.1     Server1.mydomain.com
10.14.1.2     Server2.mydomain.com
EOF
loadhosts -a -p -m 255.255.255.0 <<EOF
10.15.1.1     ServerX.mydomain.com
EOF
