Hello,John Bruer:

Thank you very much for your help. I now understand the format you gave me. It
is helpful, But I have noticed that there are some difference between
snmpcol.conf on windows and snmpcol.conf on Unix.

The following is a default configuration snmpcol.conf on windows platform.
##############begin the snmpcol.conf  #######################
#
# SNMP Collect Configuration File

C smartset:WebServers 0xffffffff 1800 > 0.000000 <= 0.000000 xA s 58720263

######### The end of the snmpcol.conf ##########

In the above file, every C line contains "0xffffffff", which I don't know the
meaning. But possibly, when I add a new entry, 0xffffffff will work fine. There
are also serveral symbol in the entry such as < > %.

By the way, on windows, you can not use Notepad to modified snmpcol.conf. Use
edit under command line can make a successful modification.
