Hello ...
I have setup my RIM on the TMR server (host1) to communicate with my Netview Server (host2) ...and the RDBMS on host2 as well.
NV 7.1.3, TMF 4.1, RIM, Sybase 12.0

1- The RIM test from the TMR server (wrimtest -l ....) is successfull
2- Netview is configured to use a RDBMS (/usr/OV/conf/dbconf.dat on host2 is as follow)

RIM

netview@host2
/usr/OV/log/dblog
/usr/OV/log/dbtrace
127

3- I can manually connect to the RDBMS on host2 using isql -Uname -Ppassword command

4- Whem I am to transfer the topology info into the RDBMS, I get the following Error:

root@host2-> /usr/OV/bin/ovtoposql -C -v
WARNING: Exception: Exception:StExcep::SystemException:StExcep::NO_PERMISSION
ERROR: Could not lookup RIM database( netview@host2 ).
Either the relational database was not configured in NetView or
 the RIM object was not created or was created with the wrong name.
The RIM object should have a name in the form 'netview@hostname' (without dots in the hostname)
Use the command 'wlookup -ar RIM' to look for the RIM object.
If the object exists and is named correctly then re-configure the relational database support in NetView.

Q1: What could be the problem?
Q2: Any solution?
Q3: How can you manually test the connection from Netview to the RIM (equivalent of RIM ==> RDBMS connection test using wrimtest)

Thanks,
Meyos.
