James,

A network turning "white" or "unreachable" is a good feature of NetView.
This happens when all the router interfaces in that network/subnet are
down. NetView recognizes that it has no chance of pinging any device in
that network, so it stops trying....and marks that network as unreachable.
Thus, some of the servers in that subnet will still show green since they
had not been status pinged when NetView realized all the router interfaces
were down. This keeps you from getting flooded with node down traps from
the servers when the real problem is in a router interface somewhere.

How do you fix this? You should have routers connected to that network
showing red. Fix that/those router interfaces and NetView will start
pinging the network again. This happens automatically. You don't want
to messing in the database.

For more information on this feature, read about RFI (Route Fault
Isolation) in the README and NetView docs.
