Yes, this is an ipmap option. On the top menu, Edit...Modify/Describe..Map,
then scroll through the list of applications and find 'ipmap', then
configure; Scroll through the various settings to the one about interface
labels. Set it the way you want it, OK, OK. After the second OK there will
be some synchronizing and then they will all be the same way. The default
is IP address, but there was a problem at some level where some of them
got changed without asking you. If it is already set to what you want, set
it to something else, ok it, and then set it back to either default or IP
Address and ok it again.

Cordially,

Hi all,
I recently upgraded to 7.1.3 on AIX 4.3.3 and noticed that some (not all)
objects that have snmp are changing. Instead of a real IP address below
the object with a network interface card icon, it will have HP or et01 or
Baystack with a network interface card. Is there a setting somewhere that
will leave the real IP address there and not change it?

If I delete the object, then ping the address, it gets added back
correctly. I do not think I have found any that have changed twice.

I also get events that say SNMP address Changed to x.x.x.x (IP Address).
