Scott,
Forget Discovery with the MLM unless you have a large flat network.  Let NetView do the discovering.
MLMs can be configured to poll ANY network or any group (read SmartSet) of devices, not just the network(s) it is connected to.  You use Smartset membership to control which nodes an MLM is responsible for polling.

Example:
MLM-1: Polls all NT servers
MLM-2: Polls all Routers and Switches
MLM-3: Polls Satelite Links
MLM-4: 172.20.*.*
etc.....
In other words, If you can build the smartset definition, it can be assigned to an MLM.
Did I mention to forget discovery with an MLM.
Multiple interfaces are not a problem as long as you can get there and back from here :)
Did I mention to forget discovery with an MLM.

Subject: [nv-l] MLM Question

NetView 7.1.3 AIX 4.3.3

I am considering deploying several NT MLM's throughout our environment and I
have a question. If I am reading this correctly, the MLM will discover and
poll the subnet it sits on only. My question is, if the MLM node has several
interfaces in different subnets, can it discover and poll those subnets as
well?

Thanks,
