... and I also see it on devices that improperly report ifAdminStatus of 0,
such as
Cisco load directors. Netview figures if it is 1 it is up, any thing else
is down.

Pink is the default color for User 1 status.  If this is an Admin down
interface, then netmon set it that ay and it is normal.  Otherwise it
would be the result of something a user did.
