NetView for AIX ver 7.1.3 fixpack1 aix 4.3.3

I have a need to monitor a couple of cisco switches which are on the other
side of a PIX firewall, I have asked to have port 161 TCP opened up for
that purpose, do I need to also request UDP on 161 as well ?
