Scott,
When you make a change to netmon's SNMP configuration it takes a while to rebuild the cache.
I have it take up to 15 minutes to respond to demandpoll requests after making a config change.

I found an IP address on the node listed in the SNMP configuration. I
deleted it and made the correct entry and when I run the xnmsnmpconf -res it
now shows the correct data.

I seem to have another issue though. I right click an object in the map and
choose demand poll and it just sits there forever. The community name for
the object is good and I don't get a time out. I have tried several nodes
with the same result.

NetView 6.0.3 AIX 4.3.3

I am having issues with several nodes and their community strings.

The node is listed as not supporting SNMP in its description, although it
does have SNMP enabled.

I run the xnmsnmpconf -res hostname and it shows an incorrect community
name. I launch xnmsnmpconf and added the hostname specifically and the
correct community name. I go back to the command line and run xnmsnmpconf
-clearCache and then look it up again and I still have the wrong community
name. I looked to make sure there was not an issue with the subnet being
defined somewhere else in the configuration and that doesn't seem to be the
issue.

Has anyone else seen this? Am I missing something?

Thanks,
