NetView 7.1.2 AIX 4.3.3

I am interested in discovering nodes within a 15 minute time period once they come online. I was reading in the MLM guide and I see that the Passive and Active Sensing methods can be used. My question is, how fast is the new node discovery using either of these methods? I currently am not using MLM's. I am interested in discovering nodes built in our warehouse. They are only online for about an hour while they are built and then they are boxed and shipped to the field. Any thoughts on this?
