Well, I hate to chime in on this because it probably won't be very popular
with the group, but...

We currently are running Netview, but we just purchased OpenView... Reason?

Cost... As simple as that.  We needed an extra license for Netview and the
cost was based on how many interfaces we wanted to manage.  After reviewing
this, it was to cost prohibitive.  Openview had a enterprise license that
covered as many nodes, interfaces and devices we needed to manage.  After 3
years of use, I'm somewhat comfortable with Netview, but it really came down
to available resources... Openview was less than half the cost, we really
didn't have a choice.  They both worked about the same... It was a hard
decision to make, but we just couldn't afford to lay out what Netview wanted
for an additional license during these economic times.

I'm curious how it compares now that Tivoli has released the IBM Tivoli
Switch Analyzer product.
