I had a lot of problems with X11 forwarding using aix 4.3.3,
SecureCRT, ans the fsecure ssh1 server.   Things would hang and make
me want to tear my hair out. 

Installing fsecure ssh2d and using ssh2 protocol within the same
SecureCRT and X server software seems to fix it.  I wish I could
explain why.
