Dear Oliver,

  Thank you for your answer. There is a problem deinstalling 106541-19 patch
(Kernel Patch Update) since 
it is member of a cluster of Sun Recommended Patches for 2.7 and many other
system patches depend on it. 
Moreover, other  applications like CW2000 need these patches as well. Is
there another solution to the problem?

Kostas,

we have seen this problem if Solaris 2.7 patch 106950-16 and/or 106541-18
is installed.
If so, deinstall the patch(es) and try to install NetView again.
