If you check the man page for trapd.conf you will see that the source
character is a single character denoting which NetView agent sent this
trap. For traps outside of NetView, you can make this anything you wish,
though the usual choice is "A" for "external Agent". NetView has several
characters of its own, listed there, but you can choose any others you
like.
