The MLM has two NetView servers defined in its trap
destination table. It logs its traps in the
smtrap.log. If the uplink b/w the NetView and MLM goes
down for some period of time, would the MLM send the
traps from the log file as soon as the connection
comes back up. In other words, is the log file
supposed to act as a cache.

If it does act as cache, then another question arises:

if only one of the two NetView is down, and the MLM is
able to forward the trap to one of them, then does the
MLM still send the trap to the NetView that was down
before as soon as it comes up.

Thanks,
