Hi
Do U want to change it globally or for individal users ?
If globally change file /usr/OV/app-defaults/Nvevents and
/usr/OV/app-defaults/OVw as follows...
/usr/OV/app-defaults/Nvevents
nvevents.initialPresCard : False (This will give events in lin in
place of cards)
/usr/OV/app-defaults/OVw
OVw*toolShellIconify: True
OVw*navTreeShellIconify: True
*displayCopyRightWindow: False (This will not show the CopyRight window)
OVw*controlDeskHasBox: True (This will open control desk as seperate
box, U can drag this box holding Mouse pointer Top/Middle holding both the
keys pressed and drag to separate from the main console)
If U want to set it for specific user then usecreate .Xdefaults file in
$HOME directory with the above contents in it.
Regards,
Santosh

Subject: [NV-L] startup - make Control Desk launch in separate window?
For NetView for UNIX....
I've heard there's a way for the Control desk to launch in a separate
window rather than as a pane of the Root window. This is desirable in
our environment where we aren't running large displays with enough
resolution to show such a tall windows.
Furthermore, certain X emulators don't properly emulate the third
mouse button, so it becomes difficult to drag off the control desk
pane via the GUI (I haven't found any menu option to detach that
pane).
I haven't been able to track down which startup files need to be
modified to have Control Panel launch in a separate window, or even if
it's possible. Any pointers?
