What traps are you talking about, NetView traps (Node Up/Down etc?) or some
others?
If they are non-NetView traps just define them as something other than
Status Events in trapd.conf using xnmtrap.
But if they are NetView traps, then it not so easy. netmon changes the
status of the object in the database before it sends the trap so you cannot
do anything about that, except to change how it is monitored (SNMP or ping)
and with what frequency.

AIX 4.3 Netview 6.0.2

I have several NT 4.0 servers in my environment that I am monitoring traps
for and sending to TEC. I would like to be able to continue to receive the
traps, but not propagate the status of these nodes up the map. The network
team monitoring the map don't care about the status of the servers and
would
rather not see the status of their map change when one goes down. Is that
possible?
