HI, Brian. If you open one of the maps in r/o mode, no newly
discovered nodes will be shown on it. Note, of course, that membership
in Smartsets will also not be dynamic. Further, if you intend to
delete a node for rediscovery, it will not be rediscovered until
it is deleted from both maps (r/w). So if you have something on the
second map that you do not want, and delete it (from all submaps),
it will not come back until you delete it from the other map.
When you have an arrangement like this, take care when
using the ovtopofix command. See the man page about which
option, -A or -a, to use.
This probably is not exactly what you are looking for. The
answer to that is probably no. But V7 will probably cover your
requirements in a completely different way, so I would make
sure your maintenance is paid up so you will get it when it
comes out later this year.

Hi all,
We're going to be moving to two maps in the near future and the question
was raised..
IS there a way to prevent one of the maps from showing newly discovered
devices?
If the Answer is no, Is the enhancement group up yet so I can post :)
