yes, odadmin get_platform_license should work and return the license key
 - if the object dispatcher ( # 1) is alive (-> odadmin odlist    / odadmin
start [1] )

o_self: o_errs:0014 destination dispatcher unavailabe "
is the regular message if the dispatcher is down

but "gethostbyname:  File exists ... indicates that you have some
other probs - what about name resolution on your system ... ?

I tried 'odadmin get_platform_license'
and got this strange result:
