In earlier (buggy) version of NV6.0 you had to stop netmon and run

All that you need to do is to close and reopen the Read/Write map.
This will cause new locations to be drawn. 
Removing locations is still a manual process. 
Location.conf has no effect on deletion of locations.
Think of it similar to the seedfile. 
The seedfile controls what is drawn but will not cause any nodes to be
