How about snmpCollect? It will send threshold/rearm traps for the
changing values of ifOperStatus for those interfaces. Or you can
specify your own odd/even pair of threshold traps if you like.

I assume you are asking because Netview will not draw the interfaces
for you because the other end is not in the map - otherwise, Netview
would draw them and monitor their status just like any other interface.

We have a number interfaces that we would like to manage under Netview 6.02
but they do not have IP addresses.

Are there any recommendations on the best way to accomplish this? We
basically need ifup ifdown events to be generated.
