Re: Question about trapd.log

You can alter the content of the trap message for each trap displayed,
provided the additional info is contained in the trap itself, but that is
all, unless you want to write something to reformat the log after trapd is
done with it. Or you could write a ruleset or automatic action to obtain
your additional information and write your own log. But you cannot get
trapd to get your MIB info for you and insert it into his log.

Subject: [NV-L] Question about trapd.log
Hi all
Has anybody tried to change the default trapd.log file format ?
I wish to insert some additional info there, such as certain MIB values
from the object which generated the trap.
Any thoughts ?
Thanks
