Why not use Roter Fault Isolation , which is a feature of NetView and costs
you nothing to implement?  See the doc in /usr/OV/doc.  I would advise you
to be at Version 6.0.1 as it doesn't work quite right at 6.0.

    Does anyone have a good recommendation (for or against) a solution to
"root
cause analysis" in NetView?  I've read about SMARTS' InCharge and it sounds
good.  Are there any other solutions to consider.  Thanks, Tom G.
