Re: SNMP traps from hosts: to Netview, or to T/EC?

Leslie,
We are using the SNMP agent on the IBM 3494 tape library to report hardware
problems with the device(s).
The 3494s are configured to send their SNMP traps to NetView. NetView has
a ruleset that forwards only the
events that the support team wants to see to the T/EC.
It works fine. If additional 3494s are installed, they are also set up to
point to NetView. No other config
activity is required. Very smooth.
