Whether isHub is set for an oid is determined by the presence of an H in
the /usr/OV/conf/oid_to_type file. You can add one if you like. Some
switches
show up as G, routers. I usually only make the distinction between routers
and
everything else. I'll make a smartset of HubsBridges, which isHub is true
or
isBridge is true, and not in the router collection.

Being a software person, not a real networking person, the distinction
between
a switch and a hub is soft of lost on me. Would BH make sense? Netview
really
has not kept up with the emergence of this kind of devices, probably
because
no one has made a demand for it.

      different enterprises?

Hi all.
Another question. Exists an easy way to create an collection for switches
from
different enterprises?
I don't want to use OIDs, I just want to use something like "isSwitch" but
this
field does exist in netview. "isHub" isn't the right way because this field
isn't in a few cases set to TRUE. Is there another way to realize this?
