You might want to experiment with a different shade of red for lines.
That's in /usr/OV/app-defaults/OVw. I know that the ack color is hard
to see on a line, too. Something brighter, like one of the magentas might
do better. I would bring up a graph with lots of lines on it to check out
the
names of the colors. But keep it reddish so as not to confuse users.

There is an option under File..Modify/Describe..Map that lets you choose
the style of lines used for serial connections, but I think they are
probably
all the same thickness.

I don't quite understand. The two ends of the connection should also be
red,
which means that this should propagate up as yellow to the owning box, no?
And events should be flowing about this too, correct? None of that is a
clue?

As far as changing ovw behavior, if there is no external handle in the OVw
app-defaults, then you are out of luck.

I am using NetView 6.0 on AIX and Solaris.

When a connection between two machines goes down and the connection line
turns red, my users have a hard
time seeing the thin red line.

Does anyone know how to tell NetView to display connection lines using a
thicker, more visible line?
I looked in /usr/OV/app-defaults and could not find a resource for line
thickness. Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Jim
