Somebody gave you a date they should not have or else just led you astray
accidentally, because the CDs are held up in manufacturing as I write this and
you will not get one by next week, and that is a fact. Next week was the
earliest you might have received them, given the last target date, but it will
not be met.
The decision to delay was made just this morning. A particular defect was
escalated to "must fix before shipment" status (it already is fixed but not part
of the code base yet) and including it means we have to reverify across all
platforms. We are now at least a week away from burning a final CD. And then
it has to go to manufacturing for copies to be made, and then those get packaged
and sent by Software Distribution (swdist). Hot list customers will get their
copies first, but they won't get them next week.
This is a perfect example of why we try not to give you a firm date until the
first copies have been burned in manufacturing. This thing could get delayed
again, so don't count your chickens before they hatch. We're close. But we
aren't that close.

We are working a case with Tivoli Support right now, and were told that the
first NetView patch for V6 (6.0.1) will be shipped to us late this week, or
early next week. We had requested to be put on the "hot list" to get it as
soon as possible.

Tivoli historically does not announce things until they are ready to ship.

probably know from monitoring this list that there is a 6.01 maintenance
level
expected in the near future that will include the fixes that are presently
available
as e-fixes for 6.0 from Support. Sorry, I don't have a date for that. It
has been in
test for a while, and we don't want to rush testing, do we?
