In the file /usr/OV/app-defaults/Nvevents, change the parameter
"nvevents.outside" to True. You may also wish to change the parameter
"nvevents.wsOutside" to True also if you plan on creating additional workspaces
and also want them launched unattached.

Word of warning, make sure there are no spaces after the "True" or "False" tags.
This would be the first thing I would check if changes to any file in the
apps-default directory doesn't do as you expected. Maybe you should backup the
file you are going to change just in case.

Hello All.

I would like my Control Desk to open separately, i.e. not attached to the
main Map, upon startup. So, then I won't always have to drag it off.
I have been looking for a setting in the /usr/OV/app-defaults directory but
could not find one.

Does anyone know where it would be or if it exists??
