User1 is used to indicate a status of Administratively Down. (Down but we
know
and don't care). There is some new propogation handling for AD in V6. Read
about it in the release notes.

Subject: [NV-L] Why is a Node Discovered as User1Status

Initial discovery on my Netview 6.0 map painted several objects with User1
colour.

To add insult to injury, 2 similar objects - both with identical
sysObjectID, both have identical Netview-map symbol type, and both indicate
"Status Source = symbol", and yet one's status is normal and the other's
user1.

What may have caused Netview to decide about the user1 colour?
