That 'updating' would be analogous to 'Synchronizing' on Unix. I have
never heard of having nodes in the New Object Holding Area causing
continuous synchronization. You might want to keep an eye out for
further occurrances of this and maybe call support if you can verify
that it is occurring. Anybody else seen this? I would expect that it
is a coincidence.

I figured it out.

I had new objects in the new objects pane.  Apparently that keeps the map
fixed in an update mode.  Once I moved those new objects to the map I was
able
to delete what I needed.

Sorry.  False alarm.

Is everybody on vacation?
