Status propagation is not arbitrary. You cannot make a node marginal if it does
not have more than one interface, and if it's status source is not "compound
propagated" Individual objects with a statu source of "object" cannot be
marginal.
I would right click you object and check these things out.

Subject: [NV-L] NetView 6.0 NT and Object Status

Hi All,
i am a user of NetView 6.0 for NT and have a problem by setting the status
color of objects.
I have defined that status events should set the object to marginal.
The event viewer shows me, that it works (Trap 50790400, Node marginal).
But the object color in the map doesn't change. After selecting File ->
Refresh
Map the status is OK.
All other changes, Normal to Critical, Marginal to Normal etc. works fine.

Any ideas?
