To choose between AIX v/s SUN, you need to consider following:
1. Number of devices you are going to manage.
2. Number of NetView clients required.
3. Whether you will be using local or NFS map.
4. Stand alone RS/6000 v/s SP2.
5. Budget.
6. Availability of NetView application.

The major advantage of using SP2 is the switch adapter. This will give you
the faster performance as to the speed for NFS map over the SP Switch.
Scalability is the other advantage with SP2. Implementation of High
Availability is reliable on SP2.
These are the major advantages of choosing AIX and SP2 v/s SUN. Again, it
all depends on your requirements and budget.

Hi all,

We have to decide wether to use NV 5.1.2 on a AIX 4.3.3- or on a sun solaris
plattform. Is there somebody who has some detailed Information
(advantages/disadvantages restrictions etc. for these plattforms) to give
to
me? I would be very nice.

Thanks in advance

Gruesse - Best regards
