You also need to add/update the /usr/OV/conf/C/oid_to_sym file that links
OIDS to symbols. (You should be able to copy the symbols files from one
system to another.)

You have to edit the appropriate symbols files in /usr/OV/symbols directory
so that the symbols corresponding to the Cisco devices point to the correct
bitmap files (as indicated by "filebase") in the symbol definition files.

Hello All.

I have two Netview Servers, both at Netview 5.1.1.

One Server has CiscoWorks2000 installed. Because of this, this Server has
all of the Cisco bitmap files for the various Cisco devices.

On the Netview Server which has CiscoWorks2000 I have went into the
/usr/OV/bitmaps/C directory and copied over all of the Cisco bitmaps (a
bunch of '.p' and '.m' files) to the Netview Server without CW2K.

I have placed these in the /usr/OV/bitmaps/C directory on the other Netview
Server.

Now, what else has to be done in order for this Netview (no CW2K) to pick
up
these bitmaps and use the correct Cisco symbol for the correct Cisco device
on the map??

Did I transfer over the correct files. Must I edit some files?

Any info appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gord Michaels.
