Leslie,

I think you are missing the point or maybe I didin't explain it correctly.  I
have locations that I have cut and pasted devices and networks in to.  It is
those networks I am trying to modify. For example on a IP network     Edit
->Modify/Describe->Symbol-> and add text in the Label field.

I have name resolution working and it did discover a router with the proper
hostname.  I cut and paste the router into its proper submap along with its
networks(WAN links).  All of the networks associated with the router have their
symbol labels as the ip network number.  This particular router has let's say
has 7 networks attached fanning out to more routers.  I was trying to leave the
IP net number and "annotate" the symbol label by adding something like:
10.126.x.x F/R link to location WZ.  This gives technical people the info they
need to use the map as well a meaningful description for others. The problem is
that after I add this sometimes it sticks and somtimes it doesn't.
