did you check your ovwdb and trapd settings?

smitty nv6k
configure

set options for topology, discovery and database daemons
set options for ovwdb daemon
Number of objects to hold in cache ... my value: 30000

set options for event and trap processing daemons
set options for trapd daemon
set trapd connected applications queue size ... my value: 10000

Number of objects defined in my database (ovobjprint -S) approx. 22500
Running NetView AIX 5.1.1, Framework 3.6
