Event forwarding to TEC from netview

Subject: Event forwarding to TEC from netview

Is there some trick to get the events sent to TEC using a rule set?
I configure event forwarding through the my tivoli desktop,netview server
icon. I give it the name of my event server and tell it to use the
sample Nodeup,Nodedown ruleset,but it still sends everthing to my console
????
