Hi all,

I have a interesting situation here, and I am trying
to figure out the best way to approach it. I have a
NT Netview 5.1.1 Server, running End-Point software,
Tivoli Manager for Network Connectivity Version 1.01.
Right now, I am using TMNC (or TFNC as someone may
call it) perform root-cause analysis on the Netview
events and forwarding them to TEC. It's a really
sweet setup, I am only getting about 20 messages at
the TEC a day concerning node down events. Now I have
some applications which are sending SNMP traps to
Netview, I'd like to forward just these traps to TEC,
and if possible performance some sort of root-cause
analysis or filtering before send them.

So here's what I am looking for:

1. Ideally, I would like to have a kind of
development kit to write my own correlation rules in
TMNC (TFNC), that summarizes the application events
first, and forwards. I know TFNC uses the Codebook
correlation engine, and is extremely fast. I want to
off-load some of the correlation to the Netview side
whenever possible, because our TEC is receiving a good
numbers of events already.

2. If #1 is not possible, I want to know use the
tecad_nv6k adapter that comes with Netview 5.1.1, and
write some kind of .rls file that only forwards the
applications related events to TEC.

If any has any idea, I would much appreciate it.

Thanks in Advance
